Mr. Keith Kenneth Barkley, age 69, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017.
Keith was born January 3, 1948 in Geraldine, AL, to the late John Eldridge and Ellie Breeden Barkley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers in law, Magdelene Shell, Ann Jacobs, Willie Lowery, Exie Thomas and Bob Wester and Robert Lambert; brothers and sister in law, Johnny Barkley, Ralph Barkley, Paul Barkley, Charlie Barkley and Linda Barkley and father in law, Hugh Jefferson Allen.
He was a dedicated member and deacon of West View Baptist Church. At the time of his retirement, he was the employee with the longest amount of time with Associated Rubber Company having worked there for 42 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Barbara Allen Barkley; their children, Brian and Carla Barkley, Ken and Carol Barkley and Teena and Jake Allen; sisters, Zettie Wester of Rome, GA, Sarah Lambert of Leesburg, AL, Janie and Phillip Robinson of Wedowee, AL and Jack and Shirley Jacobs of Adairsville, GA; brothers, Gus and Ruby Barkley of Tallapoosa, Morris and Lynn Barkley of Ocala, FL, Frank and Sue Barkley of Ider, AL, Jim and Dorene Barkley of Lineville, AL, Joe and Dot Barkley of Albertville, AL, Robert and Sandra Barkley of Youngstown, FL, and Dot Barkley of Albertville; grandchilden and mother in law, Teena Allen, all of Tallapoosa.
Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM from West View Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery
