Charles “Bubba” Wesley Austin III , 67, passed away on Thursday, January 19,2017 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Perry Smith, Phillip Smith, Jimmy Hartzog, Billy Austin, Johnny Garrick, Mikey Bozard, Ricky Bolen and Jerry Hughes.
Mr. Austin was born on December 3, 1949 in Orangeburg, S.C. He was the son of the late C.W. Austin, Jr. and the late Catherine Weathers Austin. He was the retired owner and operator of Austin Builders. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his son, John Wesley Austin, of Orangeburg and his beloved dog, Mollie.
Wes would like to give a special thanks to Mr. “Bubba’s” best friend, Perry Smith, Dr. Murali, Dr. Vann Beth Shuler and Cathy Soles Kennerly for their love and support during his father’s illness.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
