Born in Pontiac, Michigan, to Oaklin Paul and Mary Ruth (Bolt) Hancock, she moved to Alabama in 1971 and graduated from Glencoe High School. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Paula Jean (Hancock) Garmany; and aunts, Lois Blackburn and Helen Quenby. She is survived by five siblings and several nieces and nephews. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. January 23, 2017 at Dansby Heritage Chapel.
