She was born February 16, 1934 in Wacissa, FL and has been a resident of Saint Lucie County since infancy.
Bernice was retired from the Heath care business as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
She was a member of Good News Missionary Baptist Church where she served as mother, President of usher board and pastor’s aide. She was a member of Naomi Chapter #31 O.E.S. C.H.A.
Survivors include sons, Willie Ruth of Fort Pierce, FL, Ervin McMullen of Atlanta, GA, Jerry McMullen of Fort Pierce, FL, Gregory McDonald of Orlando, FL; daughters, Malanese McDonald of Jacksonville, FL, Beatrice Shaw, Derickia Watkins of Fort Pierce, FL, Machael Dawkins of Orlando, FL; sisters, Ruby Jean Boston, Maggie Grier and Lillie Knight all of Fort Pierce, FL; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Michael McDonald, mother, Henrietta Speed, father, James Denmark and other siblings.
Visitation will be held 3 to 7PM Friday January 20, 2017 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11AM Saturday January 21, 2017 at Good News Missionary Baptist Church, 510 North 9th Street, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden.
