Ed was a 1957 graduate of Octorara High School. He was employed by Burkhart, Excavating of Cochranville for 39 years, retiring in 2007. He attended Gateway Church in Parkesburg, PA.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four sons, Eric Hoover of Potter County, Edwin Hoover, Jr. of Paradise, William Hoover and Jason Hoover both of Parkesburg, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two siblings, Ada Hoover Kassa of New Jersey and Norman Hoover and wife Beth of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi Hoover Kauffman.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA at 11:00am with visitation from 10 to 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be in his memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
