Edward Ellington Perez, 48, of Dallas, passed away on October 24, 2016.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Monday, October 31, 2016, at Rest Haven Memorial Park with Pastor Brad Howard and Pastor Nick DeKold of Lakeshore Church, officiating.

Edward Perez was born in Hunstville, AL, to Alfredo Duque Perez and Betty Bert Wilkes on August 26, 1968. He went to school at Woodrow Wilson High School. He married Marla Kellam on June 28, 1989, in Giles County, TN. Edward pursued an engineering degree from Middle Tennessee State University, but withdrew from college after one semester.

He made his living as a butcher for over twenty years. Edward enjoyed fishing, reading, and playing chess. He also enjoyed watching the Cowboys play.

Edward is preceded in death by his mother and father, Alfredo and Betty Perez.

Edward is survived by his son: Joshua Kellam; daughter-in-law: Jordan Kellam; grandson: Noah Kellam; and brothers: Jimmy Carter, Dawson Stuart, John Perez, and Ralph Carter.
