Michael James Redmond, age 62 of Rowlett, TX, passed away October 22, 2016. He was born September 15, 1954, in Queens, NY, to John Joseph and Eleanor (Entenmann) Redmond. Michael was a resident of Rowlett for 30 years and a faithful member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall. He is remembered by his family and friends as the kindest, sweetest and most compassionate person one could ever meet. Michael loved to travel. He was spontaneous and outgoing and never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed.
Michael is survived by siblings: John Redmond and wife Mary of Fayetteville, GA, Karen Smith and husband Jim of Wylie, TX, Barbara Richardson and husband Randy of Rockwall, TX, Kenneth Redmond of Rowlett, TX, and Kathy Davis and husband Lin also of Rowlett; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and an enormous number of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William Francis Redmond.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00am.
