Sherry Lynn Newton-Hawkins, age 59, of Allen, Texas, passed away January 19, 2017.  Sherry was born July 7, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas, to John Willie "J. W." and Addie Lee (Moore) Newton.  She married Jerry E. Hawkins on October 8, 1994, in Fort Worth.  Sherry was an LVN with the State of Texas where she practiced her skill.  She was a member of The Potter’s House North and was also an ordained Deaconess under the leadership of Bishop T. D. Jakes.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry E. Hawkins of Allen, Texas; sons, Trouvor Parker and wife, Cynthia of Fort Worth, Texas and Germaine Coleman and wife, Lakeisha of Beaumont, Texas; daughters, Angelic Parker of Allen, Texas, Angela Parker of Garland, Texas, and Tianna Hawkins of Fort Worth; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Addie Lee Newton of Fort Worth; brother, Keenan Lynard Newton and wife, Belinda, also of Fort Worth; and sisters, Kimberly Lashawn (Newton) Malone, Catrenia Irene (Newton) Thomas-Newton, and Joan Lameria "Joanie" (Newton) Hobbs and husband, Terry, all of Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Wayne Newton and sisters, Barbara Gail Newton and Vickie Rene (Newton) Anderson.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2017, at The Potter’s House North, 10501 Main St., Frisco, Texas, 75035.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening, January 26, 2017, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
