Rita taught at Headstart in Hokah, MN for 14 years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, bowling, bingo, her reign as the Golden Living Center Apple Queen, and the Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by two sisters: Helen (Honna) Pitz and Betty Buchner; one brother Walter Pitz; children Sandra (Larry) Langen, Dianne (Larry) Starch, Patricia (Robert) Matson, Calvin (Joan) Mitchell, Michael (Judy) Mitchell, Rita (Terry) Gruntzel, and Ben (Dawn) Spagl; 21 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, children Ricky, Julie Faye, Nancy, granddaughter Julie Ann (Werner) Howard, three sisters and four brothers.
Burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Hokah, MN.
