Services for Wendell L. "Buddy" Baker, 73, of Lufkin, Texas, will be held January 21, 2017 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, 1515 S. Chestnut, Lufkin, TX. Interment will follow in the Treadwell Cemetery in Huntington.
Mr. Baker was born on February 4, 1943 in Huntington, Texas and passed away January 12, 2017 in Westlake, Ohio.
Buddy spent most of his life working in the logging industry and stump grinding. He was a member of the Texas National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all things outdoors.
He is the beloved father of Renee Fox (Justin) and Wendy Weitzel (Keith) and cherished grandpa to Ryan Fox, Hunter Fox, Brock Schill, Joey Schill, Raven Steve and Theo Steve. He will also be missed by his neighbors and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, nephew, father, mother and sisters.
