Lisa Wood, 54, of Kearney, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her home. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Kearney Cemetery. O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lisa was born February 5, 1962 in Kearney, Nebraska to Rudyard and Arbetta (Hulit) Marshall. She received her education from Kearney High School. Lisa will be remembered for her talent for cooking, baking and candy making. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was a lover of all animals, including her dog, “Hoss.” Lisa cherished spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter Kelli Hawkins and husband Bill of Lexington; son Doug Marshall and wife Laura of Broken Bow; grandchildren Izaya Winters, Page Rose Holbrook, Ella and Ava Marshall; fiancé, Matt Barron of Kearney; sisters Cheryl Pool of Smith Center, KS, Kristi Stevens and husband Gerald of Amherst and Tammy Heying and husband Dennis of Minden; as well as, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Kandi Rose Barta and brother Rod Marshall.
