Mrs. Catharine Kauffman, widow of Henry Kauffman, died on Sunday evening at her home in Sporting Hill, from Pneumonia. Mrs. Kauffman was eight-five years old. These children survive: Emanuel, Jacob, John, Benjamin, Mrs. David Brandt, Sporting Hill; Henry, living near Manheim, and Mrs. Harriet Balmer, of Manheim; also three sisters, Mrs. Annie Ely, living in Franklin county; Mrs. Harriet Brubaker and Mrs. Maria Horst, of Sporting Hill. The funeral will be held at the Union church, at Sporting Hill, tomorrow at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Kauffman cemetery.
