Earl C. Price, 77, of Manila, Arkansas passed from this life Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Alamo, Tenn., the son of the late James and Nora Edwards Price and was a 1960 graduate of Kingbury High School in Memphis.

He was raised in Memphis and after graduation joined the Marine Reserves before joining the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War and retired as an aircraft mechanic. After retiring from the Air Force he worked for FedEx in Memphis also as an aircraft mechanic until his retirement in 2008. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of the Manila First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Price.

Survivors include his wife, Drusilla Price of the home; two stepsons, John Randel Meacham and his wife Jane of Haines City, Fla., and Thomas Clinton Meacham and his wife Laura of Jackson, Miss.; two stepdaughters, Laura Ann Vandivor and her husband Tommie and Mickey Ellis, all of Manila; a brother, Robert Lee Price and his wife Norma of Hernando, Miss.; and his sister-in-law, Joyce Price of Memphis. He also leaves six grandchildren, Derrick Griffin, John Ed Griffin, Shane Clausen, Jennifer Brumley, Lyndsey Ellis and Karly Culpepper, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Manila. Burial was in Manila Cemetery
