Clara A. (Talada) Mullen Cole, 92, of South Waverly, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at the Athens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Clara was born on May 15, 1924 in Sayre, daughter of the late Harry L. and Carry (Spalding) Talada.

Clara was known by many and her love for her family was unconditional. Everyone will remember her as she was, the love and helpfulness to her family and friends. The coffeepot would always be on with lots of chatter at her kitchen table, and there where many holiday pictures taken at her dining room table. She was an avid doll collector and made doll clothes for them and many children. Clara had a love for quilting, she would show anyone interested how to quilt and tie a quilt. There was always an empty chair that sat around the quilt rack so someone could help tie. She was a caregiver to many in their ending days on this earth, and was a caregiver to many handicapped children. Her home was the "Kool-Aid" home to both young and old alike. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is at peace now with her family, who has been waiting for her to come.

Clara is survived by her sons: Clarence L. "Punky" Mullen, Raymond J. Mullen, and Stanley (Sue) Mullen, all of Sayre, five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, her sister Charlotte Chamberlain Rowe, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Robert Mullen, her second husband Wilson Cole, and her daughter Threasa G. Mullen.

Services are private and at the convenience of Clara's family.

The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main St., Wellsburg, N.Y., has been entrusted with the arrangements. Send condolences atRobertsFHInc.com.
