Marilyn Ann Warner, 81, of Delaware, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 18, 2017 at her residence.

She was born June 17, 1935 in Delaware to the late Clarence and Catherine (Schroeter) Warner.

She graduated from St. Mary High School, Mount Carmel School of Nursing and Ohio Wesleyan University. Marilyn worked as an industrial nurse for PPG Industries retiring after 25 years and was a devoted and faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church and sang in the choir when able. She also served as a safety volunteer for the Delaware Police Academy for many years.

A private woman, Marilyn enjoyed studying the Bible and medical publications. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and in her earlier years, she also enjoyed fishing, hiking, kayaking and helping others. Also with a passion for photography, Marilyn was able to travel out west and to Alaska and Africa to take pictures.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister-in-law, Martha Warner of Delaware; nephews, Jerry (Pam) Warner and Thomas (Kathryn) Warner of Delaware. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, Robert F. Warner and two infant sisters.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive (formerly 1510 W. William St.), Delaware. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware with Rev. Fr. Michael Watson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery and then the St. Mary Bereavement Committee will host a luncheon in the Snyder Rodman Community Room.
