Lola Mae “Butchie” Davis, 70, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma was called home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Oklahoma City.

She was born November 14, 1946 to Manuel Wilson Davis, Sr. and Queen Esther (Gaines) Davis in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Lola was a lifelong resident of the Shawnee/Tecumseh areas. She was raised in Shawnee and attended Dunbar Elementary School and was a graduate of Shawnee High School. Lola united with Christ as an early age and was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church.

Lola worked at the Sylvania Plant in Shawnee. She worked at TDK as a production operator until she retired in 1995.

She loved singing and spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, traveling, bowling tournaments, shopping, fishing, playing bingo and spending time at the senior citizen center. Lola was a member of Jet Setter Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, LaToria Davis; son, Alvino Johnson; brother, Manuel Davis, Jr; and sister, Anna Marie Hill.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Willard Johnson, Jr. and fiancé of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughter, Csani Johnson of Kansas City, MO; step-granddaughter, Shaunté Harrison and Shaunterra Harrison Oklahoma City, OK; 3 sisters, Bonnie (Cleophus) Bray of Shawnee, OK, Alice Faye Haynes of Oklahoma City, OK and Darlene Hurd (Vincent) Sexton of Shawnee, OK; 3 brothers, Bobby (Joyce) Davis of Shawnee, OK, Gilbert Hurd of Oklahoma City, OK and Robert Hurd of Shawnee, OK; Aunt, Laruth Davis of Shawnee, OK; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017 and continue through service time. Service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 21, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Shawnee with Reverend Claud Woody, Garden Day Edition Baptist Church in Oklahoma City officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
