Charles A. Ewing, age 94, husband of the late Dorothy M. (Landes) Ewing, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage before her passing, of Limerick, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center, Lebanon, PA. Born on October 22, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Mary (Deabler) Kennedy.

Mr. Ewing was a member of the Royersford United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army, First Army, 559th Artillery Battalion during World War II. He was part of the D-Day Invasion, following the Infantry's movements into Belgium's Bulge (the Battle of the Bulge), and on into France. An avid bowler, Mr. Ewing could be found bowling twice a week, shooting pool, and playing pinochle. A great family man, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In the past, he loved traveling with his wife, woodworking with her, and attending craft shows to exhibit their work together.

Mr. Ewing is survived by two children, Marilyn E., wife of William D. Fergusson of Lancaster, PA and C. Douglas, husband of Patricia A. (McDonnell) Ewing of Perkiomenville, PA; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11:00 am. Burial will be held following the service in the Ivy Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home.
