He was united in marriage 1856 to Mary Lumbard, of Schuyler, who with two sons, Herbert W. Edgett, of Sandy Creek, and Edgar S. Edgett, of Herkimer, and two daughters, Mrs. Louise Williamson, of Richfield Springs, and Mrs. Bertha Jones, of Broadalbin, survives. He is also survived by one brother, A.C. Edgett, of Waterloo, and two sisters, Mrs. John W. (Mary Elizabeth) Budlong, of Schuyler, and Mrs. Esther Finster, of Lacona.
