Kyle Joseph Thompson, age 25, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on January 19, 2017. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado at Fort Carson on March 31, 1991, the son of Mickey Scott Thompson and Tara Willene White Thompson. He was a graduate of Praise Academy in Powder Springs, Georgia. Kyle was a 25 year heart transplant patient and was the oldest surviving transplant patient at Denver Children's Hospital. He was employed with the Motor Carrier Compliance Division of the State of Georgia as a weight inspector and was a member of Calvary Church of God of Douglasville.
Kyle was a one of a kind, a gentleman, a deep thinker, conversationalist, writer, lover of Pokemon and Pittsburgh Steelers, Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack. Most importantly, he had a thirst and desire for the Lord. Despite constant adversity, Kyle was victorious then and now.
In addition to his parents, Kyle is survived by his brother: Ryan Thompson; grandparents: Joe and Georgia White and Russell and Catherine Perren; aunts and uncles: Karen and David Ladd, Jeanette and Troy Curtis, Rhonda Dobos, David and Wendy Thompson; great nephew: Judah Ladd and other great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville with Rev. Keith Stell officiating.
Per his wishes, Kyle will be cremated following the services and will always be with his family. Kyle was a recipient and donor of life.
