Dr. Louis Lee Cross, Jr., 95, a resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Ft. Washington, MD, passed away on January 15, 2017, at his home.

Dr. Cross was born on September 5, 1921, in North Keys, MD to the late Louis Lee Cross, Sr. (1898-1984) and Ruth Martin-Cross (1897-1984). Dr. Cross earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Georgetown University. He was Chief of Pediatrics at Providence Hospital and had a very successful private practice for 45 years.

Dr. Cross served his country in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during WWII. He was also an avid golfer.

In addition to his parents, Dr. Cross was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice Severn-Cross (1922-2014). He is survived by his seven children, 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dr. Cross’ life on Monday, January 23, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at 10:30 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
