Sgt. Valentin was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War, separating in 1982. A few of his many heroic accomplishments were earning the Bronze Star Medal, The Purple Heart Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.

Although he served our country with great honor, he enjoyed nothing better than the time spent with his nieces and nephews teaching us the game of chess.

Little did we know he was challenging our minds and inspiring our expressions.

He spent a lot of time painting and writing poetry.

Rubin, everything you did and everything you stood for, will forever be embedded in our hearts. BELOVED Son, Brother, Cousin, and Uncle you made us Proud and you will truly be missed. May you Rest In Peace!
