CLARENCE, Mo. — Fay Lyle Tils, 73, a self-employed carpenter of Clarence, died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 15, 1993) in his home.
Born March 3, 1920, in Backus, Minn. Mr. Tils was a son of Dr. Andrew Joseph and Candace Ruth Howard Tils. He lived most of his life in Shelby County. On June 13, 1953, he married Ina Hutton in La Plata. She survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. Danny (Glena Beth) Walker of Shelbina; a brother, Glenn H. Tils of Fayetteville, Ga.; a sister, Erma Black of Perry; and a grandson, David Walker of Shelbina. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services were to be conducted today in the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home by the Rev. Nadine Thurman. Burial was to be in Maplewood Cemetery at Clarence.
Memorials may be made to Camp Jo-Ota at Clarence.
