Patricia Wallace was born and raised in the Cleveland, Pennsylvania area along with her three sisters. A registered nurse, she worked in various positions across the country for over 20 years including stints as a surgical ward nurse and later as a floor nurse at Vancouver Memorial.

Once while on a grocery outing, she saved a young child by performing CPR. In honor of that, the Vancouver Safety Commission presented to her the "Outstanding Action Award" for saving the life of another on November 9, 1963.

After retiring from nursing, Pat (as most knew her) became a successful business woman. Her drive and entrepreneurial spirit led to a career as a general contractor and along with her husband Dean, she owned and operated several properties including the Camas Hotel for over 25 years.

Pat loved See's candy, going to garage sales, and playing the slots at casinos. She was a long-time member of Brush Prairie Baptist Church and participated in the choir. Her sense of adventure led her to activities such as parasailing and downhill skiing; and she enjoyed traveling the world, having visited Australia, Hawaii, the UK, Greece and Jerusalem, along with frequent trips to Palm Springs.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Leroy Harmic. She is survived by her second husband of 41 years, Dean Wallace; daughters, Debbie Wolff and Bonnie Bielas; step-children, Rod, Gary, and Greg Wallace and Nancy Burdick; grandchildren, Lyon Robert Wolff, Lisa Wolff Swanson and Casey Hyde; five great-grandchildren, as well as other many family members and friends.

A viewing will occur Thursday, January 19th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas, 325 NE Third Avenue. A memorial service and reception will be held the following day, Friday, January 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Brush Prairie Baptist Church, 11814 NE 117th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98662.
