Karen E. Moran, 68, of Frostburg, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Karen was born in Frostburg, on July 17, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Edward Thomas and Gertrude V. (Youngerman) Moran.
She was also preceded in death by her loving aunts, Helen (Youngerman) Brumage and Marguerite (Youngerman) Keating and uncles, Harold Youngerman and William Youngerman.
She is survived by special cousins Linda Brumage and Joseph Brumage and wife, Janet and their sons, Andrew Brumage and special friend, Julie Musselwhite, Matthew Brumage, and James Brumage and special friend, Cheyenne Williquette. Also surviving are numerous cousins on Karens fathers side.
Karen attended St. Michael Catholic School and graduated from Catholic Girls Central in Cumberland.
After graduation Karen worked as a waitress for several years and for Woolthworths, McCrorys, and Sheetz in Frostburg.
Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services being held at 1 p.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.
Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
