Pearl M. Mazur, 93, of Dickson City, died Sunday evening at Abington Manor, where she had been a resident since September. She was the widow of John J. Mazur, who died in April 2001.

A lifelong resident of Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Sophia Zabinski Rosiak. She was educated in St. Mary’s School, Dickson City, and Dickson City High School. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City, a past member of its Christian Mothers, and was very active with the committee for its annual picnic, helping organize, prepare for and work at the event. Before retirement, she worked as a laborer in electronics at Weston Instruments, Archbald, for a number of years. Pearl was very active in several community organizations and functions, including the senior aerobics at Dickson City Civic Center.

She could be seen walking all around town. Pearl not only loved her community and church, but truly loved her family and was very proud of her two granddaughters, Stephanie and Emily.

She is survived by a son, his wife and their two daughters; a brother, Eugene Rosiak; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Chester, Richard, Edmund and Conrad; and four sisters, Regina Srebro, Eleanor Barbuto, Bernice Wisniewski and Veronica Coar.

The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Yurkanin Funeral Home, 1115 Main St., Dickson City, with Mass at 9:30 in St. Mary’s Visitation Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum.
