"Rosie" Rose Mary Sittre Hans, age 83, of Castroville, TX, passed away Sept. 15, 2010 in San Antonio. Rosie was born Jan. 18, 1927 in Hondo, TX to the late John B. and Cora Alice Hollaman Sittre.
Rosie grew up in Rio Medina and over the years she worked as a store clerk at The Rio Medina Store, Schotts Supermarket, and the Castroville Drug Store. She loved to play bunco and pitch with her friends.
Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth O. Hans; sister, Corine Blackmon; brothers-in-law, Leon "Weiss' Groff, Eldred Klump, Herman Groff, August Haass, J. E. Blackmon, Robert Bauml, John Quinn, and Stanley Becker.
Survivors include her son, Gregory Hans of Castroville; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Bobby Bippert of San Antonio; granddaughters, Keisha Bippert Vocke and her husband Cory and Naisha Bippert; great granddaughters, Taylor and Ali Vocke; sisters, Johnnie Mae Quinn of Boerne, Grace Klump of Rio Medina, Cora Lee Groff of San Antonio, Madegeline Haass of Devine; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Leatrice Bauml of San Antonio, Jacqueline and Nelis Beck of Castroville, and Glenn and Joyce Hans of Castroville; also by numerous nieces and nephews.
