Edward Kotchkowski, Ash Street, Dickson City, died Monday upon arrival at Mid-Valley Hospital. His widow is the former Helen Kerach. The couple celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in August 1998.

Born in Dickson City, son of the late Frank and Bridget Adamowicz Kotchkowski, he was a graduate of St. Marys Parochial School, Dickson City. He was an Army veteran of World War II having received the bronze star. Prior to retirement, he was employed at the Grove Silk Mill, Dunmore. He was a member of St. Marys Visitation Church, Dickson City, and its Holy Name Society.

Also surviving are a brother, Raymond, Jacksonville, Fla.; nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Bartkowski and Mary Ermel; and a brother, Bernard.

The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, 519 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass at 9:30 in St. Marys Visitation Church. Interment, parish cemetery.
