He was the loving husband of Beverly A. (Zerbe) Schlouch. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on April 5th. Born in Brecknock Twp., he was a son of the late Samuel A. Schlouch Sr. and Catherine E. (Bixler) Schlouch.
He was a steel worker for 32 years at CarTech, retiring in 1997.
Wayne was a member of Robeson Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plowville, Chandler Lodge No. 227 F & AM, Reading Consistory, Rajah Shrine and Allentown Court # 128 ROJ. He was a life member of Brecknock Fire Co. and enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, landscaping and yard work. He especially loved his family – his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Jeff L., husband of Donna Schlouch, Brecknock Twp.; Kathy A. Hills, Wyomissing; Chris A., husband of Yvette M. Schlouch, Brecknock Twp.; Erica L., wife of Christian Fisher, England; Meggan M., wife of Jeremy Landis, Wernersville; his brother, David, husband of Lucille Schlouch, Brecknock Twp.; his grandchildren: Melanie, Jason, Ryan, Brandon, Zachary, Craig, Aidan, Noah, Gabriel, Bella; and his great-grandchildren, Natalie and William.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Elaine F. (Bender) Schlouch on August 11, 1971; and his brother, Samuel A. Schlouch Jr.
Graveside services in Allegheny Union Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family. The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington, is assisting the Schlouch family.
