Freeman C. Douglass. Committed by C. W. Langdon Judge of Sonoma Co. March 29th 1869. Age 42 years; native of Maine; single; was last from Massachusetts; has been in California 18 years; occupation, laborer. The evidence of insanity is he imagines himself to be in direct communication with God; is neither homicidal, suicidal nor incendiary. He has been insane for two years; disease stationary. His hallucination is religious enthusiasm; has no disposition to injure others; has a brother insane. He was quite noisy at times speaking on religion; class, monomania - no treatment.
Condition of patient when received about the same as represented above.
Admitted March 31st 1869. Has no property. Discharged June 30th 1884.
Died at Dr. A. Clark's residence May 4th, 1888 of Consumption.

Age 49 years; native of Maine; married, has 7 children, the youngest 18 months old; was last from Maine; occupation, Farmer; is disposed to destroy property. This attack appeared about 2 years ago and is the first; disease increasing; has the hallucination that he is in direct communication with God; is filthy, destroys property and is noisy; has one brother insane. He believes himself to be directly commissioned by God, and will do the utmost what is directed by the spirit; no change in health; cause of insanity, religion; class, monomania.
Condition of patient when received about the same as represented above.
Admitted March 31st 1869. Has no property. Discharged May 3rd 1869.
