Joe Ortega Torbellin, Jr. "Joe City", of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017, with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery.
Joe was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Joe Ortega Torbellin Sr. and Amparo Marie Robles Torbellin. He stands at 6 feet tall, grew up on Borger Street in West Dallas and was known for that right and left hook. Joe had the biggest smile that matched his hazel eyes and he had a young soul.
Survivors include his, wife Virginia Delgado Torbellin; daughter, Cristina Escobar; son, Paul Escobar; grandchildren: Zae, Joziah, Jasel, Mia Alice, and Joaquin; siblings: Paul Ramirez, Teresa Cervantes, Michael Torbellin, and Rita Torbellin; and many nieces and nephews.
