After he married Florence he was deployed to Germany with the 13th Armored Division serving under the command of General George C. Patton. After his tour of duty he came back home to work. In addition to working for Milam Chevrolet, he also worked for Ingram Equipment and he retired as a purchasing agent for EG&G Automotive Research. In 1956 Milton and Florence made their home in Rio Medina where they raised their three children, Gary, Gayle and Trudy. They were married for 57 years at the time of Florence’s death in 2001. Milton was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, St. Louis Society, American Legion Weiss-Wurzbach Post 460, Quihi Gun Club, and Hermann Sons Lodge #71.
