Judy was born one of eight children to Jeter and Faye McMahan in Asheville, NC on November 28, 1940. She loved people and working. She retired from Walmart in 2006 and also worked at Lowes for many years. In her early years Judy was a fabulous dancer in later life she enjoyed walks along the beach. She was an avid Miami Dolphin Fan supporting them since 1966. Her main joy came from her children and grandchildren who, she adored. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 6 siblings.
She is survived by two sons, James Sanders and his wife Vickie of Middleburg, FL and Derrick Sanders of Pascagoula, MS; a daughter Susan Leger and her husband James of Jennings , LA; sister, Kitty Wilson of Asheville, NC; two grandchildren, Kaycee Sanders and Justin Sanders; former husband and father of her children, Vernon Sanders of Pascagoula, MS.
Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2017 from 12:30-2:00 pm at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula with funeral Service at 2 PM Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
