Mr. John Satterfield, Sr., 85, of Woodstock, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Arbor Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Gerral Richards and Rev. Horace Richards officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Mr. Satterfield was a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from Lockheed and was a member of Arbor Hill Baptist Church and the Hickory Flat Lodge #205 F.&A.M.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Elsa Satterfield; parents, Bomer and Fairy Satterfield; siblings, Bobby Satterfield, Luke Satterfield, Evelyn Childers and Pearl Reynolds. Survivors include his son, John B. Satterfield, Jr.; siblings, Winnie Mitchell and George Satterfield; granddaughter, Madeline Satterfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
