Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday January 20, 2017, at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in Sprott with Rev. Misty Barrett officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing.
She was preceded by her parents, James and Galvester Stone; sisters, Elsie Stone, Bertha Jones, Vera Jones, Mae Stewart; brothers, Edward, Marvin, Arthur, Doyle, Wilbur, Leon and Odis Stone.
Nadine is survived by her sister, Margaret Snyder of Marion; a host of nieces and nephews.
Nadine, a registered nurse, was a 1954 graduate of University Hospital and HIllman Clinics Birmingham. She dedicated her life to nursing. She worked 40 years in Marion and Selma Hospital.
Nadine was dedicated to her large family, whom she loved very much. In her earlier years, she enjoyed shopping at antiques malls, fishing and eating out with family and friends. She loved Sprott, especially baseball and football, she was also an avid Alabama fan! She also enjoyed reading in her spare time. She had a deep love for animals and had many dear pets in her lifetime. She will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials may be made to your favorite charity or your local Humane Society.
