Sarah's background is still being researched, her name first appears with the recorded birth of her daughter Lydia.
Sarah was mother to at least five children:
• Ebenezer, b. between 1639 - 1650, Massachusetts
• Sarah, b. June 10, 1640, Weymouth
• Lydia, b. February 27, 1643, Boston
* Hannah, b. ca 1645, Massachusetts
• Joanne, b. September 20, 1652*, Rehoboth
(* Some researchers believe Joanne and Hannah to be one and the same. If that was the case, Joanne/Hannah was 13 years old when she had her first child which was highly unlikely given the times and society.)
Much more likely is that there was at least one other child born to Sarah and Roger Amidon whose birth record still needs to be found. The 9 year gap between Lydia and Joanne's recorded births begs the question: how many additional children were born to Sarah and Roger?
Hannah's existence, her relationship to Roger as well as her marriage to Jeremiah are proved by the settlement of Roger's estate.
Ebenezer's birth date is uncertain, but he was old enough to help fund Perce's Fight on March 25, 1676, a battle of Philip's War.
Sarah d. June 20, 1668 in Rehoboth. Roger's first child with his second wife was Philip b. January 26, 1669.
