Francis was the son of Burnet M Easley and Orpha Dorinda Garrett. He was born in Arkansas and was a Civil War Veteran. His obit actually spoke of him as being an "old confederate soldier" and I guess that would be the truth, as he was 92 years old.

He married Margarett Clementine Brinson.
