Teresa was valedictorian at Alice Freemen Palmer Central School, graduating from Syracuse University with a BA in both math and French, receiving a science honorary and a masters in Supervision of Secondary Mathematics. This well prepared her as a skilled educator for 42 years at Cincinnatus Central School, Mexico Academy, Cortland High School, and substitute teaching at many Cortland County schools (while raising 7 children), before retiring from Marathon High School. Mrs. Morris was active in her community and her church as a member of a number of social and civic committees, teacher of CCD, lector, both at St. Josephs in McGraw NY and at St Mary's in Cortland, serving as a member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas Court #919 for more than 60 years.
An avid traveler and completely intrigued by electronics, Terry loved texting with her family, even showing the younger generation how to text "no handed". She brought her travels home to her family and her students thrilled with the cultures and places she experienced. She was a creative and brilliant wife and mother who will be greatly missed.
