Ethel Darlene Myers, 63, of Lilly died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. She was born May 18, 1943 in Altoona, the daughter of the late Austin Blaine Musselman and Virginia Grace (Quarry) Musselman. She married John Henry "Bud" Myers in 1963.
She was a 1963 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters: Teresa E. Hoover of Duncansville, Tracy L. Myers of Altoona and Bonnie Jo Myers of Taylor, Texas; two sons: Austin B. of Duncansville and Roy Scott of Bennington, Vt.; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Robert T. of State College.

There will be no public viewing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, by the Rev. Jaime Olson. Interment will be made at Blair County.
Darlene was featured in an educational movie about her life called the Darlene Chronicles. Pennsylvania Parade: Visiting with Darlene (#102)by WPSU Penn State.

This observational documentary, filmed in 1970, is the first in a three-part, series chronicling the life of Darlene, a rural Pennsylvanian housewife.

She will be remembered for her openness and personality that captured the interest of the persons making the documentary.
