Mrs. Grace Adams McSpadden, 86, retired nursing director at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, died of heart failure Wednesday, August 3 at the District Two Nursing Home in Durant.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. at National Funeral Home in Clarksdale with burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. McSpadden, a Bolivar County native, graduated from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and was staff nurse at the old Clarksdale Hospital. She retired as nursing director at Northwest Medical Center in 1971. She was a charter member of Oakhurst Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, the North Delta Nursing Association and the Mississippi Nursing Association.
Survivors include: husband, Julian P. McSpadden; daughter, Marilyn Burrell of Goodman; brothers, Paul Adams and Dorris Adams, both of Nashville; and two grandsons.
Memorials may be made to Oakhurst Baptist Church.
