Edward L. Schroeder 85, of Ft. Madison, passed away at 11:18 PM on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital.
He was born on August 10, 1931 in Ft. Madison to John George and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Wilmesmeier Schroeder. On August 6, 1960 he married Adele Moeller and they later divorced. Edward was a lifelong farmer and served in the US Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Ss. Mary & Joseph Church. Edward enjoyed arrowhead hunting and bee keeping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Joan Schroeder; one brother and three sisters.
