Alice H. "Sunny" Bernard, 92, of Kailua, passed away December 22, 2016 at Castle Medical Center. She was born on October 4, 1924 in Honolulu to parents Sang Lin and Sook Cha Cho. Sunny was a homemaker.

She is survived by daughters, Geraldine "Geri" Lim, Regina "Gina" Tymn, Peggy Wormley, Teresa Shimabukuro, Patricia Perkins, Julie Palmer, Rebecca "Becky" Bernard; brother Douglas Cho; sisters, Mary Lazarus, Mildred Carr, Muriel Orsi, Elizabeth Whitesell; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William John Bernard.

Services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017, at St. Ann Catholic Church (46-129 Haiku Road, Kaneohe, Hawaii). Visitation will be from 10:15-11:15 a.m. Eulogy and remembrances will begin at 11:15 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11:45 a.m. with committal services and burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
