Pamela Jo Dawson, 44, of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away suddenly at home on January 14, 2017.

She was born on March 31, 1972, in Ripley, W.Va., the daughter of David Dawson and the late Beverly Dawson.

Pam was a 1991 graduate of Ravenswood High School and attended WVU at Parkersburg. Pam was a familiar face at McDonald’s of Ravenswood having worked there for 23 years. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her friends and her niece and nephews.

She is survived by her father, David A. Dawson of Ravenswood; her sisters, Sherri (Steve) Zelic of Glendale, W.Va. and Susan (Mike) Perry of Cottageville, W.Va.; two nephews, Matthew Zelic of Morgantown, W.Va. and Cole Perry of Cottageville, W.Va.; one niece, Summer Perry of Cottageville; her aunt, Jonelle Crooks-Merritt of Parkersburg, W.Va.; cousins, Allan (Lisa) Aiken of Barlow, Ohio and their children, Zane and Makayla; Andrea (Keith) Thomas of Vienna and their son, Deric McDonald of Columbus, Ohio; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Ann Dawson; her paternal grandparents, Les and Betty Dawson; and her maternal grandparents, John and Goldie Crooks.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, with the Reverend Ken Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.
