Stanley A. Shepherd, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2017. He was born in West Virginia on June 22, 1938 a son of Charles A. and Stella G. Shepherd.

Stanley had a love for hunting, a pastime he frequented during his years living in West Virginia. He would also hunt in the neighboring state of Ohio from time to time. Following his move to Florida, Stanley found a new love for fishing, one which he enjoyed for the last 15 years. He was also a devoted and hardworking man, retiring from Ames Co. after 40 years of service.

Stanley was preceded in death by both his father and mother.
He is survived by his wife of 54+ years, Margaret Ann Whealdon Shepherd and three children:
Teresa Ann (Doug) Lowe of Marietta, Ohio , Sherri Lynn (Mike) Mellon of Hebron, Ohio and
Stanley/Andy (Stacy) Shepherd of Bushnell, Florida, and 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Stan loved everybody and everybody loved him. He will be sadly missed!
Services will be held on Friday January 13, 2017 at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL.
