FALL RIVER - John L. Rego, age 72, passed away on January 11, 2017, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Paula Rego. Born in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Humberto and Deolmira (Rebelo) Rego. Prior to retirement John worked as a Welding Supervisor for TACO, Inc. for many years.
Along with his wife he leaves behind his sons Christopher Rego and his wife Kimberly of Somerset and Richard Rego of Fall River; siblings Estrella Maria Rego, Manuel Antone Rego, Humberto Rego and Franciso Rego; grandchildren Mason, Zachory and Shaunna; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Marie Imilia Rego, Jose Manuel Rego and Leonardo Rebelo Rego.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Holy Name Church . Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Fall River MA.
