Peggy A. Wagner Lawson, age 82, of Strawberry Plains, TN, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Life Care Center of Jefferson City. She was a member of Holston Baptist Church. Peggy loved music and used her talents playing for weddings, funerals, and served as pianist for fifty-five years at Holston Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Mae Wagner; brother, Ray Wagner; sister, Evelyn Wagner. She is survived by her husband, Harold Lawson; brother, L. E. Wagner; several brother and sisters-in-law from the Lawson family, several nieces and nephews, and a special church family at Holston Baptist Church, and many camping friends from Elkmont, and her friends at Carter Guitar Jam. A special thanks to the staff and management at Life Care of Jefferson City.

Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at Holston Baptist Church, Reverend Tony Downey officiating. The family and friends will meet at Eastview Memorial Gardens at 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2017 for a 11:00 a.m. committal service. Memorials may be made to Gideons International.
