Johnnie Mack Watkins, age 74, of Burgaw, NC died Saturday, January 14, 2017 while a patient at The Village on Campbell.

Born February 21, 1942 in Duplin County, he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Annie Jane Blanton Watkins. Also remembered are his brothers, David Ray Watkins, Billy Joseph Watkins, Sr. and Jack Allen Watkins, Sr.; and sister-in-law, LaDonna Sue Watkins, all who preceded Johnnie Mack in death.

Survivors include his siblings, Sylvia Ann Head (Robert), Joyce Faye Rhodes (Stacy), James Richard Watkins, Peggy Sue Taylor (Jimmy), and Larry “Woody” Watkins; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family all who dearly loved Johnnie Mack.

Johnnie Mack was a good hearted man who loved his family. A good joke, laughter with family and friends, and a good meal with dessert were all favorites of Johnnie Mack. Johnnie Mack was a gifted mechanic and liked nothing better than tinkering with anything mechanical. Cherished memories of Johnnie Mack will always remain in our hearts.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Chris Wroten conducting the service.
