Garland Lee Brown, 81, of Bennett, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur.
Graveside services were held at Harmony Baptist Church, Ramseur, Mr. Jimmy Hill and Rev. Frank Thacker officiating. Military honors were provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Garland was a native of Chatham County. He retired from Jockey International, and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church in Ramseur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Nannie Coble Brown, brothers, John Thomas Brown, Rufus Willis Brown, and William Henry Brown, sister, Lucille Brown.
Garland will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
