They are the parents of 2 known children.
1, Gilbert Mackey, born 1805, Greene County, Tennessee, married Nancy Yokam, 1830, Montgomery County, Illinois.
2, Elizabeth Mackey, born 1810, likely Knox County, Kentucky to after 1870, Douglas County, Missouri, married to Joseph Applegate, 1798-1870.

Brothers William Mackey, John Mackey, and Matthias Mackey, served in the War of 1812. Mathias, was killed May 5, 1813 during that war in the Battle of Dudley's Defeat at or near Fort Meigs, in current Lucas County, Ohio. Matthias had the rank of Private in Captain Arthur’s Company, under Col. William Dudley’s (also killed in action) 13th Kentucky Regiment. Militia and is likely buried near Fort Meigs.

About 1814, likely in Greene County, Tennessee, Elizabeth remarries Thomas Wilkerson, born March 16, 1762, Caswell County, North Carolina to May 28, 1849, Greene County, Missouri.

Elizabeth reportedly died 1873 in Clay Township, Greene County, Missouri. I have not been able to locate any document to say were exactly she is buried. In 1870 since she was living with her son, Joel, she is likely buried not far from him. She may have a headstone or marker that is damaged, missing or no longer readable.
