Robert (Bob) Eldon Beeson, 75, entered the joy of eternal life with the Lord on March 9, 2014, after finishing a 20 year battle with Parkinson's Disease in the city of Ventura, where he resided since 1990. A devoted man of God, Bob served for over 35 years as a respected Christian pastor in Ventura, CA; Downey, CA; Anaheim, CA; and Richmond, New Zealand, retiring a few years after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1993. Born on September 19, 1938 in Orange, California to the late Milton and Aurelia Beeson, Bob graduated from Fullerton (Union) High School (Class of 1956) and received a B.A. in English from the University of Hawaii. After college, he worked with his father as a plumber in Fullerton before serving in the U.S. Navy. In 1969 he received an M.S. in Theology from the Cincinnati Bible Seminary.
Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife Donna (Pick) Beeson of 48 years, their three sons: Jonn (married to Alisha), Daniel (married to Tina), and Michael Beeson, and his four grandchildren: Alexis, Brock, Elianna and Karis. Bob is also survived by his loving sister Arline Sebourn (married to Tommy) of Fullerton, CA.
Memorial service will be held at the Gold Coast Christian Church , 3500 E. Camino Rd, Oxnard, California at 11 a.m. on March 15, 2014. In lieu of flowers please donate to Joni and friends disability ministry.
