LEWISTON — Lorin McKnight Rogers, 85, of Lewiston died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, of causes incident to age.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1920, in Lewiston, son of Margaret and P.A. Rogers. He married Ila Mae Ashliman on Dec. 14, 1950, in the Logan LDS Temple.

He graduated from North Cache High School and then served a mission in the England/Scotland area. He was a sharpshooter rifleman in the Army. After his tour of duty, he returned home and was married and had three children. He worked for 28 years and retired from Thiokol. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and helping others. He was actively involved in his church and served as a temple worker for several years. He was a longtime member of "The Oldies but Goodies Harmonica Band," which he dearly loved.

He is survived by his three children, Dennis (Lisa) Rogers of West Jordan, Kathy (Clinton) Jewkes of Plain City and Mary Anne Rogers of West Valley City. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ila; and his sister, Beth Schow.
